Neptune Aqua-surf Better than Tunze 7095?
i am in the market for a controller to power my tunze 6100 pumps. i also have a AC3....my question is the Aqua-surf made by Neptune comparable or better than the Tunze 7095 controller? Does anyone have any experience with the Aqua-surf module?

The Aqua-Surf gives you a lot more options if you already have an ACIII - particularly if your tank is longer that 48" which means you should be able to set your 6100's to create an oscillating wave (sort of like a Wavebox but with your 6100's).
The 7095 does just fine for creating current and tidal conditions and you can set it up with just switches and dials. In the end it depends on if you want to do anything very different than what the 7095 can do and are willing to handle the programming to do it. Paul

Interesting, i was hoping that the Aqua-surf was a good product as my AC3 is the best thing that ever happened to my tank..Does anyone else have experience with these products?

Since you already have the ACIII I would go with the Aquasurf. I have a 7095 and bought an Aquasurf (Nov of 07) to check it out, and the 7095 has been collecting dust ever since.
The AS gives so much more control. I just created a new program with a slow random flow during the night with a slow tide in flow late evening and tide out flow early morning. During the day there is a large wave time and also at random intervals some chaotic flow settings to really stir up the tank. I like the AS. |
