DELTEC AP600 Vs ATI BM200
I have the AP600 install it on my tank allready but I have a great dial on a ATI BM200.
What do you think about this? will you switch it or shoul I stick with the AP600 and give the ATI to my little brother? I really like the delteck but is installed on my living romm external and I think is kind noise. Thank you.

You would be a fool to put an ATIBM 200 on a 55 gallon tank. I've run an AP600, an APF600, an AP701 a BM160 and a BM200. For a 55 gallon tank the AP600 is the only skimmer, of those I listed above that would make sense. The other skimmers are far too large for that tank and would not be worth running. Your tank won't have enough DOC to gum the neck of the other skimmers. They just won't work efficiently.
I ran the ATI BM200 on a BB 90 gallon sps reef that was way overstocked and way overfed and it was just too much skimmer. I would maybe run the BM200 on a tank greater than 120 gallons but more likely something around 180 gallons. Trust me, the AP600 is a perfect match for your tank, in fact it's large enough for you to upgrade and still use. |
