Tank-safe cleaner for PVC?

I'm about to start building some PVC racks for my liverock, and I'm curious about what is safe to use to clean off the residue from the stickers that are all over the PVC?

Rubbing alcohol would be my first guess, but it really doesn't work particularly well. How about Goo-gone or something like that?

Okay, I'll try it again. I was using some pre-moistened sterilizing pads, but I think they just didn't have enough alcohol on it.

I'll buy some in a bottle and give it a shot.

Just use an old rag or some tissue paper.

I second the lacquer thinner, just make sure you let it dry real well for a day or two (probably overkill, but better safe than sorry)
before putting into use.

I had no idea that there was a pvc cleaning product. I'll have to look at those options too.

It will also likely be dry for a month or more before it's in the tank, so that's no issue.
