protein skimmer startup problems

so the power went out today and when it came back on the skimmer didn't turn on i took it out and cleaned it out as best i could ran tap water through propeller part and still won't turn on. any suggestions?

Did you take it apart? If not totally take it apart and maybe give the pump a bath in vinegar.

ok i took it completely apart as much as i could and soaked in vinegar and rinsed out and still won't start back up. it is a coralife needle wheel skimmer. any further suggestions?
