Lighting for a Newb
hi all, so i am about to set up my 100g tank and am looking at lighting.
http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...s~vendor~.html This i can afford but i am not sure if i need MH Lights or not. I want some soft corals and maybe a anemone. Will this unit be sufficent light or should i look into getting mixed T5/MH system. My LFS guy told me that MH are uually only used if you want to grown stone coral. Also is this a good unit? Will you guys recommend me anything that would be good but hopefully under 700$. Thanks |

The link doesnt work but from the URL I see it is 72" 12x39 watt T5HO Nova Extreme.. If all you are doing is soft and maybe an anemone, then that is enough if not more than enough. You would be able to grow SPS or "stone coral" under that, albeit I have no experience with the Nova, but I have heard they are good as well as the Tek Light T5's
