Return feed from Skimmer

This will be my first use of a Beckett type skimmer and I'm using a Blueline 40 which I think has a flow of about 1250 gph. I have an all glass 125 drilled with a 45 gallon tank underneath for a sump/fuge that has been baffled and drilled. It flows in from both ends through the top of the tank and toward the middle where I have 2 one inch bulkheads for the outflow. I'm thinking about hooking the blueline up to the sump outlet and feeding it to the skimmer but this will all be below the water level of the 125 sitting above. Will this have to be gravity flow after exiting the skimmer or will it have enough head preasure to push the flow back into the 125 above? I know this might be too much flow for the sump/fuge. The 45 is 48" long. I had a total of 6 holes drilled on the backof the 125... 3 at each side and one on the left side panel. Probably over kill but I have an old Aquanetics Systems Pak with 1050 gph flow that houses 2 canisters, a heater, 2 UV lamps that I will hook up for the flow capacity without using the filter element and maybe just use live rock but then again does live rock do any good in the dark with this flow rate using rubble? Some of the holes will be used for inlet purposes and some for return using loc-lines.

Comments?
Thanks in advance
