Continued tissue sloughing during CAM treatment

I'm finishing up a Chloramphenicol treatment on two pieces of acro that had RTN. The less advanced case of two the pieces went into the treatment with probably under 10% tissue loss but during the course of the treatment continued to bleach so it is now about 90% white.

Is it normal for the bleaching to continue during the treatment or is the CAM bath supposed to quickly stop the tissue sloughing? I'm getting ready to return the corals to my tank but they really are not looking so good at this point and I'm wondering if it's even worth it. Anyone have experiences with this treatment?
