Geo 618 help

well I'm setting up the reactor and I have a couple of questions.... about the set up I have the 50ml per min drip rate and 30 BMP CO2 and ph monitor will not go lower than 7.0 been running for 24 hrs. I use Lg shuran media. I know I'm looking for a PH around 6.5.

1. Should I either fool with the BMP CO2 or slow done drip rate?

2. Is the PH monitor reading the effluent or do I take a reading of the effluent?

Thanks for any help.....
