I don't have any experience of the ETSS 800 but did use one of their other skimmers. The skimmer was very good but the general concensus is that the skimmers are very powerful but they tend to use larger pumps so could cause a heat issue depending on your setup.

The 800 is a top flight skimmer.Must be run with an Iwaki 55 or larger. What would you like to know?

Its a great skimmer, but it takes a large pump which is power hungry. ETSS make a great product, but they aren't the most efficient, but they do scale well to huge systems.

I have had a 900 on my 180 for over 2 yrs. It is hooked up to an Iwaki 70. I am very happy with it, and would get another one if I set up another tank.
