System Checkup (4/17/08)

I finally took the plunge and started my sump after having the tank set up with only powerheads and a heater for over a month and a half.

I'm posting this to make sure no red flags come up in regards to anything I am doing.

Things I still need to add:

1) Ozone (Have)
2) Calcium Reactor ( Do not have)
3) Kalkwasser Reactor (Do not have)
4) Phosphate Reactor (Do not have)
5) DIY Sulfur Denitrator (Do not have)
6) MORE FLOW!!! ( I'm trying to find my 9.5 Mag Drive)
7) Mods to G-2 (Mesh, Recirc, etc..)
8) Auto Top Off (have)

Questions/Concerns I have:

1) How do I stop bubbles from coming out of the return without reducing flow? (Should I raise the water level in the aquarium?)

2) Should I have a pre-filter on the tank drain before the UV? If so, what should I add?

3) How/ where should I put the various reactors I want to add to the system?

4) Is the protein skimmer all right?

5) How high should I keep my sump water level?

6) Where/ how should I place my (2) Koralia 3's without creating much of an eyesore?

1) Is the return pump sucking air into the return lines?

2) What kind of tank drain is this? Picture?

3) I would run their inputs from the sump back into the same sump chamber. The placement isn't all that critical.

4) I have no idea.

5) If the pump goes off, the sump shouldn't overflow...
