Question Water Pump Brand??

I am working on getting a dollar figure together on how much it will cost to build a basement sump. My question is what brand pump would be reliable? I have a link to the pump calculator.
Blueline has a pump that would do the job. Little Giant has one.
It sounds like I need a pump that will do 1900 gph
45' max head. Are there any brands anyone would recommend that has these ratings. It can be stronger I will be using a ball valve to control my return to the tank.

I use the Iwaki MD100RLT and I love it. It's rate for 2000gph and is a real workhorse. It's been running for almost 4 years now with no maintenance and no wear. It should outlive any tank.

What do you think about this pump?

http://www.aquadirect.com/store/prod...cat=634&page=1

Says its designed by a former Iwaki engineer. 5 year warrantee instead of 1.

It looks like a nice pump and the specs are almost identical to the Iwaki pump so you could give it a try. I never used one myself but I know I have read other people using them.

what size water column do you have
The size of your drainage line or lines pre-determines the return flow and the size of pump you need
for eg if you have a one inch gravity drain line then the max you get is 600 gph--so you would need a pump that results in slightly more than 600 gph

also the resultant flow through the sump doesn't have to be more than five times the total water column

there are pictures of my basement sump set up at the begining of this thread:

I have a 1 inch return. The pump will be running through a inline chiller and about 45 foot of pipe. I used the pump calculator on reef central to determine that this pump will work at about 900 gph. I currently am running about 900 gph through the sump. Do you think I will be able to return enough water with 45 foot of 1 inch pipe? About 25 foot is horizontal.
