Anyone use the Current PowerBrite LEDs for T5HO Supplementation?
I'm curious if they're bright enough to provide the shimmer effect when used along with T5HOs as the main lights.
For those that aren't familiar with these, here's info from the Current-USA site: http://www.current-usa.com/powerbrite.html Anyone? |

Yes, that's what there made for-
I think you would need 2 of them for a 90- I'm using one on my Refugium and it is very bright, 4 Luxeon type Led's @ 60 Lumen's each for the 10k & 50 Lumen's for the 14K's. Also- They need to be protected from splashing, I mounted mine in an old 20" Coralife PC fixture- |

Very cool - thanks for your reply. Yes, I was thinking I'd probably need two, one for each half of my 90. I was really curious if they would get drowned out by the T5HOs. They're inexpensive enough that I might just give them a try.
Thanks! Does anyone else have experience using this to provide shimmer for a display tank, and specifically used alongside T5HOs? |

BTW- DrsFosterSmith has them on sale right now- cheapest price I could find anyway.
They have "linking modules" btw ($10 cheaper)- They are the same thing, just doesn't come with a Power Supply- It comes with a plug that you hook up to the other one- I think you can link 4 of them. |
