Powerheads/Pumps
Hello,
I will be receiving a 120g tank in a few days, and i was wondering if y'all could help me out. Powerheads: From DFS i am considering getting two Koralia 4 for tank. (is that too little?) But i was wondering if it i should get the pump controller. It seems like a lot of money, and im not sure if i really need it. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...5&pcatid=18915 And what would be a good PUMP that you recommend for me to use in the 120g. Thank you, Al

As a side note, how many power heads would you recommend for a 120g?
And i was planning on using plastic tubbing, or should i go with PVC?

2 koralia 4's would be a good start, but I would invest in 1 or maybe 2 vortechs instead. they are great for massive water movement or controllable to make waves, or lagoon like flow. A very well rounded pump that will grow with you.

I'd go with 3 of the Koralia 4's. You'll still need two Vortechs and they'll cost alot more.
The Koralias have been greta for me and many others I know. I have 3's in my 75g but for your size, (3) Koralia 4's should do nicely |
