looking for good SW books
I would like to get some good salt water books, anything from aquascaping to types of fish/coral to care of equipment and livestock. Any suggestions?
thanks

The reef aquarium volume 1-3, a lil pricey, but the best on the subject by far.

I would reccomend:
"the conscientouse Marine Aquarist"by robert fenner and "algae a prolem solver guide" by julian sprung. (even if you dont have an algae problem this books is chock full of information) |

I would recommend this book for corals:
[ericsbook] It's great and up to date. Scott Michael has a lot of good books on fish. You could get "Reef Fishes" as a starting point, and add more as your interests dictate.

"Marine Fishes: 500+ Need-To-Know aquarium species" By Scott Micheal
"Marine Inverts" same pocket sized book with similar set up as the above book because its by the same author "The conscientous marine aquarist" as mentioned above because it is the best saltwater tank keeping book ever "Aquarium Corals" listed above is a great coral book. "The nano reef handbook" by Chris Brightwell if you ever plan a nano (even though I met Chris last weekend and he kinda came off as a snobby know-it-all condescending type) Just about anything by Julian Sprung, including his Reef Notes. Those are all good books and it just depends on what kind of information you are looking for. Those are the number one books I have in my "library" and usually the only books I recommend.

2nd "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" by Fenner. Good review of the basics for setting up a marine aquarium and a generous run through fish and inverts without getting a specialty book.

I like The New Marine Aquarium by Paletta, too.
