ozone skimmers

so the guy at the LFS store told me i might want to look into "ozone" compatibile skimmers or whatever specifically octupus brand. just curious as to what ozone skimming means....?

It just means that you are running ozone into your skimmer via an ozone generator instead of plain air. An ozone safe skimmer is one that is made of a meterial/s that resists the ozones ability to react with it causing premature catastrophic failure of the skimmer.

I have been running a ozotech set at 100 mg/hr into my bubble king skimmer for 2 weeks. What a difference. I thought I had clear water. The ozone creates exceptional water clarity. Plus I have noticed decreased algae growth as well as more active fish. If used properly, O3 is a great asset for our captive reefs.
