Which skimmers plumb directly from overflow?

Which skimmers can you plumb directly from a drain line from your display? My new 29 gallon display has 2 drain lines and I would like to use one to feed a skimmer. I would like to use an ETSS Reef devil if possible. Any other Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Someone has to know the answer to this. Maybe it is a stupid question? The specs for all of these skimmers don't say anything about it though.

I think that all recirc. skimmers can be plumbed from the overflow. That is a guess though. But i would think that any skimmer without a pump to feed it water should be/ could be fed via gravity. I have an HSa150 that is gravity fed and i dont think i would ever switch it to pump fed.

thanks guys, I thought the etss could be done for the fact that you could control the input flow via the overflow, and the output flow via the gate valve. anyone know about the etss?

something smaller obviously, search some of the larger distributers for small recirc skimmers, or give them a call Monday as they will be happy to help you. How big of a return pump are you going to use, and how large are the overflow drains? This will have a lot to do with what kind oyur limited to, because you have to be able to feed the skimmer the proper amount of water.

My drains are 1" and my return pumps are 2 surge 3500s for now, but this may change if needed to accommodate the skimmer or flow requirements.

is there a particular reason why you want it plumbed from your overflow? My skimmer is an in sump with a mag 9.5 pushing it.

Rob, the reason for this is that I have a lot of flow going through my display, and if I can use this instead of having my sump floor cluttered with another heat producing, electricity using pump, its a plus.
