Question What is going on with my Blue Palm Coral?

I woke up this morning to find my Blue Palm with this stringy yellow stuff coming out of its pores. Anyone know what this is? Is it trying to reproduce or dying?

Have you been target feeding this coral? It is non-photosynthetic...

Yes, I have been target feeding cyclopeeze twice a week and adding phyto to the tank once a week.

How long have you had this? And how have you been feeding it? I've read that these rarely survive in aquariums, and I'd like to see whether you methods have been more successful.

Unfortunately I've only had it for about two weeks. Before purchasing it I found VERY little information on them. Only that they are non-photosynthetic. I has been doing really well until now though. A day after putting it in my tank it dropped all its heads off, but they regrew bigger than before within 4-5 days.

that's not a coral, it's a tunicate. They are naturally short lived and very difficult if not impossible to keep alive for long in captivity.

I had one in my last tank for about 4 months before I sold it due to tearing down the system. Not sure what happened to it after that, but it would do the exact same thing as the photo about once a week and it would last for about a day. I never found out what it was or why it did it. It would also drop its heads about every 3 weeks and they would regrow larger. They are very nice looking, but it seems that not much is known about them. Good luck with it.
