Any aquariums worth visiting in Las Vegas?
Hi all - I'm in Las Vegas all week for a convention. I googled "Las Vegas Aquariums" and looks like a few of the hotels have their own aquarium exhibits. Does anyone have any tips on which ones are worth going out to see?
Thanks! |

Theres a hotel down by the luxor. Its a newer one and i dont remember the name. Either way DONT go to it. theyve got some SW fish but theres ZERO coral. Big waste of time and money. I'm pretty sure it was Mandalay Bay.

It's the "Shark Reef" at the Mandalay Bay.
It's worth visiting to see the huge sharks, jellyfish, and sea turtles, but as someone already pointed out - no corals.

Thanks for all the info so far, everybody! I'd love to be able to see some corals as well, so please let me know if there are any around here with some.
Thanks! |

Goto Caesar's Mall (next to Caesar's Palace) and right next to The Cheese Cake Factory is a large donut like structure housing Aquarium Museum size/quality inhabitants. Not really a shark enclosure, but large tangs, angels, groupers...
also, there's a burger joint in the mall that is tropical themed and you can sit next to 300 to 3000+ gallon tanks at your table. The Mandalay Bay aquarium was fun. Also, worth checking out the exhibit behind the Mirrage front desk. You can't get very close, but the display is phenominal. Most of the larger hotels have some sort of aquarium theme here and there, but the free one at Caesar's Mall is really worth seeing. |

Mirage had a beautiful tank (not like a public aquarium - just a huge tank behind the old front desk), but I don't remember if it's a reef or FO. |
