MSX250 vs MSX300

I hope someone can help...

I have a 180 and would like to upgrade my skimmer. Originally I was going to buy the MSX250 but when I went to the Marine Solutions page I see that the MSX300 is only $50 more. I see it is backordered however... =( Would the 300 be overkill on a heavily stocked 180? Can I get away with the 250?

250 or 300...which is better for a 180. Thanks.

I think a 250 would be plenty. says the 300's will not be in stock for another 2 months. I would think even longer

I'm running a 250 on a 180 moderate stock with a 75G sump, 65G fuge and it works fine. I think a 200 would even be good. A 300 is just more overkill. I like the bigger body of the 300, but it still has the same 2 pumps, the same neck and cup as the 250. I'd like to see a longer neck and bigger cup on the 300. I think a longer neck would be nice for the 250 as well.
