Fans.....??

We have a 29g biocube that has not been modified in any way. The water is getting hotter than we would like (82.9 and our bubble coral-among others-isn't happy) and several people have suggested trying a fan before investing in a chiller.

Can anyone recommend a fan that will fit in the biocube? The tank is in our living room and I don't want to have the tank top open and some big fan blowing over the top - I am assuming that there is some clip on type fan that might work?

Any suggestions please?

Maybe no-one knows of any clip on fans that would fit the Biocube 29g?...... or should I post on a different board / place in the forum?

You can use a small computer case type fan.

The common size is 80mm square. Other sizes are available.

While 120 vac versions are available by special order thru companys such as digi-key, the most common and readily available are 12 vdc.

You can get the 12vdc models at circuit city, radio shack, or your local computer store. You will need either a 12volt dc power supply or an old computer power supply to run them.

If you post in the nano reef forum they may be more familiar with what specific fans will fit on a Biocube. I'm sure a lot of them have dealt with the exact same problem.
