Fans.....??
We have a 29g biocube that has not been modified in any way. The water is getting hotter than we would like (82.9 and our bubble coral-among others-isn't happy) and several people have suggested trying a fan before investing in a chiller.
Can anyone recommend a fan that will fit in the biocube? The tank is in our living room and I don't want to have the tank top open and some big fan blowing over the top - I am assuming that there is some clip on type fan that might work? Any suggestions please? Thanks Amber |

Maybe no-one knows of any clip on fans that would fit the Biocube 29g?...... or should I post on a different board / place in the forum?

You can use a small computer case type fan.
The common size is 80mm square. Other sizes are available. While 120 vac versions are available by special order thru companys such as digi-key, the most common and readily available are 12 vdc. You can get the 12vdc models at circuit city, radio shack, or your local computer store. You will need either a 12volt dc power supply or an old computer power supply to run them. |

If you post in the nano reef forum they may be more familiar with what specific fans will fit on a Biocube. I'm sure a lot of them have dealt with the exact same problem.
