Quick RO/DI Membrane ?

I have a 75 gal/day unit - 6 stage w/75 gal/day restricor - and am about to order a new membrane. Bulk Reef Supply has a 150 gal/day membrane on sale.

Would putting a 150 gal/day membrane in a 75 gal/day unit compromise the membrane or lessen the efficiency of the unit?

Thanks in advance.

What is the rejection rating of the 150 membrane? I am assuming that it is lower then a 75 GPD ( which should be around 96-98% ). With a lower rejection rate you are going to go through your DI resin a lot faster.

Unless you need a great deal of water everyday, you should just go back to the 75 gpd. You will get a more consistant better quality of water by going with a lower gpd. The only way to get more quality water by going with a larger unit like a merlin. If you can get by fine on 75gpd stay there. You can always use plastic tuff cans with a float switch to produce larger quantities when you need it, but if you do be sure to drop a airstone or power head in the resevoir to keep it oxygenated.
