Reef Octopus Pro 250

Hello, I am in the planning stages of a new tank and am looking at different skimmers. First off, I wanted to know if anyone has any more information (possibly first hand experiences) on this skimmer. One of the sites says that it is plug and play but I am wondering if it really is or if it is going to need tweeks and mods like most of the others. I am looking for something that is reliable, efficient, and most of all won't require a ton of time modding before I can use it.
Thanks in advance.

Links below to sites selling the skimmer.

If I was you I would hold off until they come out with the upgraded pump. It's a good skimmer but with the pump that comes with it now it's not what it could be. Reef specialty notified me that they will let everybody know who purchased the skimmer through them when the new pump is available.

When all the production modifications are done this skimmer will be something to look into. The RD knock off pump will be like nothing else in its price range on the market right now.

Thanks for the replies. Any chance that anyone has heard of an ETA of the new pump?

I have been interested in this skimmer since it first came out. Like any new product it takes time to refine the product to perfection. Hopefully the time will be near.
