well many fish will eat them, but some may need more than you can provide for them. 6 line wrasses, mandarins, and some sifting gobies will do the job. but most need more than you can provide over a long period of time. They really won't hurt anything in your tank, in fact most all people like them. the best thing i think you can do is let them do their job in your tank. HTH a bit

It's very common in the first year to see "blooms" of various hitchhikers. One month you'll see a ton of pods (like the ones you have in the picture), one month you'll see a lot of sponges. As the tank matures, the populations even out. In a week or two, you'll probably only see a few of these in your tank.
