How much phosban??

Im planning on running a small amount of phosban passively in a media bag in my sump... I have a TLF phosban reactor, but not much room to run it...

How much is a good amount to start with??

1 tablespoon per 10 gallons?? <--- I thought i heard that somewhere...

If you're just going to use it in your sump in a bag 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons wouldn't be a bad place to start. Though you might as well just toss money out the window by using it that way.

The area in the sump would be between two bubble trap baffles so water would be directed through it..

I have heard though that its not all that detrimental to its performance to run it passively vs. a fluidized bed...

Typically when someone refers to passive use of GAC or any type of media it's simple tossed in the bottom of a sump in a nylon bag. Doing something to make water flow through it isn't really passive...
