Cycling LR - amazed anything survives
My LR came in last weekend, I thought for kicks I would test the Ammonia to see if I would be the "first" to cycle a tank in less than a week...
![]() Nope! I'm amazed anything survives this! It makes me want to dump a bottle of Prime in... like that would help at this point lol

That is exactly way I have always done water changes during the curing/cycling process. If I am going to pay good money for live rock, I am going to do my best to preserve as much of the life on it as possible.
Haven't notice my cycling being any longer then what other people's. And even it it did make it longer, it would be worth it. The last patch of rock that I cured has great life on it.
