Did you mention the size of your tank anywhere? If you have the space for it, I like watching the pattern change on an Emperor Angel from Juvenile to Adult. Very striking.

It sounds like you already have your show fish to me (tang and copperband). I would add a number of smaller dither fish to fill the tank in. A mixture of anthias and chromis is what I have and am very pleased with it.

I remember when zoanthids were called things like "green" and "orange" and not "reverse gorilla nipple."

you think of a orange shoulder.....or........a McCoskers flasher wrasse very nice colorful fish...........

maybe you could try a clam or some type of coral as a center piece instead of a fish......only problem with clams is the coral beauty..........perhaps like a really nice HEALTHY elegance or like a minitiure blue tub garden..........just a thought

You have a pretty big tank. A sohal tang would be a nice show piece. Or if they're looked upon as way too aggressive, perhaps something in between...say chevron tang or just beneath a sohal, like a Clown tang. They swim constantly and have a great deal of persona. Tangs and some Butterflyfish are IMHO the best show fish b/c of their constant swimming and colour. Angels are alright too but are unforutnately not reef safe.

I have to be careful about any Butterflies or Angels as I have a fair amount of SPS. I think perhaps just one more big fish and a school of others....I do like firefish....hmmmm

I guess I should list what I DO have:

1 Blue Tang 5"
1 Copper Band Butterfly 4"
1 3" Sixline Wrasse
1 3" Coris Wrasse
1 4" Coral Beauty
3 2" Banghai Cardinals

and I need to update my signature...150gallon now.
puffers definitely eat corals and rock AND EVERY OTHER INVERT, that was a bad recommendation. i think flame angels are good show fish, but are a 80-20 shot that they are reef safe, IMO.
