small, white, pointy snails... a problem?

i seem to remember reading about some nuisance snails that eat coral... i've always had some little round guys running around in my chaeto... lately i've seen a couple of very small pointy snails... anyone know what these are and if they're a problem? i've pulled the two that i've seen in the tank...

Small white pointy snails could be Pyramid snails, check your clams if you have any or your larger snails.

There are many types of little pointy snails that are benign. Unless you have some reason to believe they're munching on corals, it's probably not worth the effort to remove them.

Posting a pic so we can get some idea beyond "small, white and pointy" might help to ID the snail... some are good, some are bad
