flow thru sump need your opinion

ok so i have my drain teed off to flow to the fuge along with a ball valve to regulate the flow. A friend told me it should be teeed off the return is he correct and does it make a difference? could this create a gurgling noise in the return.

you shouldn't have any problems with added noises. and yes t ing off of the main drain for the fuge is what you want to do.

Kind of a debated question. Some say to tee if off your drain so the fuge gets unfiltered water. Some like to tee it off the return pump so the water is skimmed before entering the fuge. Remeber you are trying to grow pods and other benefical creatures in your fuge so IMO you will be getting better water quality for those creatures if the water is skimmed before entering the fuge. I would tee of your return pump.
