Stupid mistake, Need help!
I listened to the LFS and tried to make a "wall" of carbon in my sump between my protein skimmer and my return pump. Well, I rinsed the carbon for 10 minutes and then STUPIDLY dropped it in my sump assuming that it will sink to the bottom and allow me to form a sturdy wall.
Now I have carbon floating all over my sump. I already turned off my pumps so they won't get damaged by peices of carbon in the impellar. My questions: 1) How do I get the carbon out without taking out all the sump's water? 2) How should I create a "wall" of carbon without baffles? |

I'm using the carbon becuase I want to dose ozone. Is the stacking of filter bags still okay?
Thanks! |

Well, take a net and dip. And shove some blue-white filter floss into the waterflow in a tight spot and figure it will pull some of it.
Yep, it floats, but should only be used about a week before being thrown out.
