Lights during Cycle?
Should your lights be on of off during cycle? Whether it is yes or no I would like to know why.
I have t-5 HO lights with individual reflectors. |

Temperature stabilization: best you figure out how to keep your tank spot-on round the clock BEFORE you get critters in it. The cycle doesn't care, yea or nay, but getting your temp under control the way it will be for the rest of the tank's life---priceless.

Good advice from sk8r. Set up your light cycle as it will be when the tank has matured and check temperatures at beginning and ending of light cycle.

Well I have 3 sets of T-5 lighting and this is my plan. 1 set comes on at 10am. The next at 11 am followed by the last set at 12 noon. Then they go off the same way at 6, 7 and 8pm. The AC in my house is set at 77degrees and my tank temperature has never gone over 79. I will try it and check my temperature with the lights on. Thanks.
