Hanging vs. brackets for hood
Am getting a Maristar 48" 250wx2 hood-
Any costs/benefits to suspending it vs. using the brackets? I've heard a drawback to suspending it is a possible balance problem where the cords extend from the back. On the other hand, I just can't get with the aesthetics of the brackets- it just seems to throw the line off the look of the tank, but it sure looks secure and easy. Opinions? Thanks! |

Suspending for me makes it easier to service my tank. Also, depending on the bulbs you get, you may want to raise or lower. With brackets, you are kinda limited. Suspending, you have so many options. Just my 2 cents.
