I have one and its ok..I mesh modded it and it pulls some serious gunk out of the water. Its not close to being rated for 250gal though more like 100gal max! After the mesh mod I noticed a huge improvement.

For a hang on skimmer in that price range it works pretty well. I don't think I would even say it is good for 100 gallons, maybe 75 to 80, but there are very few hang on skimmers that will as well for even close to the money.

Check out the octopus HOB's they kick *** and are less intrusive...
