pulling the volcano

So after talking to about 3.2 million people, I have decided to pull the DIY "volcano" that we built. I am adding a lot of dead-live rock that has been properly cured by the LFS (the one that I trust totally) and am going to try to pull off some of the LR off of the volcano. This will give me about 100lbs of rock when it is all said and done. More in the very near future.I am going to do a PVC set up, similar to Nano girls idea. Txs NG, you are AMAZING!!! (another thread someday to show my admiration Capn too!
I am pulling the rock, coral and fishies, putting them into a lg rubbermaid, with the current filtration/lighting,and water, I have time, and want to do this the RIGHT way the first time. How long before everyone becomes totally stressed out, before I need to put them back into the DT? And second, does anyone have any advice or suggestions before I begin? I am a bit nervous, and would love feedback.
Different subject, is it true for a FW dip that I let them float in the RO water, same temp, until they float?!?!?!?! This made me want to vomit when I was told this. Just a side note/question.
