Lumen Max 2

Can anyone tell me the optimal distance from the water to hang the Lumen Max 2?

1. Are you running with the glass covers or not? I'm kind of running back and forth on this one.

Cleaning a glass plate is easier than cleaning all of the reflector facets.

I don't want to lose another 20% PAR, but on the other hand the reflector will increase PAR enough that it shouldn't matter much.

2. What bulbs are you going with?

The 11.5" width of these is a perfect fit for my mounting rail. I'm hoping that someone can tell me a few things about them before I pull the trigger.

They seem to give about the same performance as lumenarcs, my other possible choice. I need the pendants since they will be visible, and they are about the same price as the "stealth" lumenarcs.
