help?

i have a sixline that is hella mean and has now killed a new fish. I need to get him out but i dont want to tear apart my tank trying to catch him. Is there a way to catch them without taking apart my tank to get them?

leave the top off and scare him out of the tank

, mine seemed to do that with out even trying.
