Large Angelfish compatability

Please inject your opinions for mixing large angels. Do you see any compatability issues with the specific mixes..(i realize mixing large angels is tricky in general)...

Tank 1 is a 175g bow

Flagfin angelfish
Scribbled angelfish
Annularis (blue ring) angelfish

Tank 2 is a 200g (7 footer)

Asfur angelfish
Personifer angelfish
Queen angelfish

Tank 3 is a 210g

Koran angelfish
Bluespotted angelfish
Regal angelfish

If you see a compatability issue with the specific mixes please suggest a replacment fish... or reshuffle of the mixes the personifer and scribbled are required fish and the koran(in qt) and the afur are already owned so they are "required as well"

Tank 3 will likely be fine, tank 2 will probably be a nightmare (I wouldn't try mixing a queen with another large angel, they have attitude problems). I've never kept any of the three mentioned for tank 1 so I won't comment. Keep in mind that regals are rather sensitive to especially boisterous tankmates.

I agree with aslavatortin. I would consider replacing the queen with a scribbled. When I had a 350 gallon FOWLR tank, I had 5 angels at one point but it is problematical.

Thanks for your reply.. i already have a scribbled planned for tank#1 so since the general consices is to replace the queen what would people sugest...maybe a blue (or is the blue as much of a problem as the queen)

Blues and Queens have the same behavior pattern. You could consider a Blue Faced . . .

Bluefaces are awesome but unless you have a good amount of experience keeping difficult large angels, I would recommend staying away from the euxiphipops genus (blueface and majestic aka blue-girdled are the most common ones in the trade). That being said, the blueface is generally considered to be a good "entry-level" difficult angel. Have you considered imperators? I had an orange tail adult that had an incredible personality (he still does, he's just not in MY tank anymore) from the day I brought him home. He didn't bother LPS's at all, either; I never tried him with SPS (nor would I).

Iam trying to keep only one of each genus per tank ofcourse to do that i need many more tanks for the emporater and cousins...I had a large (show size aprox 12") emp. when i was newer than a newbe in saltwater and unfortunatly it did not survive and its hard for me to look at emps after that.. beautiful fish (emps in general)
