leather Vs yellow polyps

Guys,

Only a quick question, after placing my finger leather next to my yellow polyps, the polyps seems to be withdrawn !!!!!! has anybody else experienced this ??????

Leathers are typically non aggressive but placed next to other corals they can produce toxins. My yellow polyps can get pretty wavy, they may have touched. Nothing should touch the leather.
