new question:
What if i decide on going for a dual 250 watt pfo hqi ballast. I could cut out the two center braces and use a metal replacement brace. (ive seen it done before) Then I could just run two 250 watt bulbs in lumenbright reflectors. Question is: will the hqi ballast make the bulbs run whiter than normal? because then I beleive I will have to shop around in the 20000k range |

I love my 3 175w iwasaki 15ks. The par is great and the colors look great to my eyes.

the iwasaki 15ks are a really nice color.
i put one of those on my ex-gf's 20 long reef and it really brought out the colors in the zoanthids. it also could have used a touch of actinic though |

http://www.reeflightinginfo.arvixe.c...ectballast.php If you go with hqi I would seriously consider the Phoenix 14k. Phx on hqi has great color and good PAR. |

I ran Hamilton 14ks on both my 120 gallon tanks and loved them. I'm currnetly running them on my 165 gallon.
I run Radium 20ks on my 450 gallon and really like those too. |

20,000k radium mh
i just got mine and it not at all what i thought, it is less blue than my 14,000 stock aqua pod bulb, meaning its white and has aflicker like look to it, but you reallly need to stare to see the rapid flicker,. Any thoughts on that.
