How to Catch A Damsel!!!
I have a blue damsel that I want to catch and return, problem is he is very quick and smart. I have 090#'s of live rock and he darts as soon as he sees me with the net. Any tricks / traps that I can use to catch him.? Thanks

if he goes into a rock.. i dont know if any holes are big enough or if the fish is small or whatever.. but if he goes into a rock put some water from your tank into a 5 gallon bucket then take the rock and put it in the bucket. thats how the guy at the pet store got my purple pseudochromis for me kuz he kept hiding in the rocks! eventually, the fish will come out of the rock and you have it in the bucket!

, I agree I feel like blowing him up, by the way the general rule of thumb is 1 tang per gallon of water

I have given up catching a damsel in my tank but he is kept under rap now by a foxface--he barley chases anything any more
IMO the only way to catch a damsel is to start draining the tank down into buckets until the water is low enough to keep it put so you can net it or take a wetvac and suck it out of there There is a link to a thread with many ways of trapping fish on my Logbook thread http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...readid=1424845
