clownfish moving sand?
One of my maroon clown fisk keeps moving sand out of one my corner in my tank.At first I thought it was one of my powerhead cause I did have a problem with were to aim my powerhead but I thought I fixed it.Every couple of days I would come in and in that one corner it would be BB and I would move it back and the same thing would happen in a couple of days. One day when I moved it back I notice he was look like he was moving sand.So I decided to leave it alone so in one corner in my tank it BB.Do anybody else clownfish does this?

My marron clown sweeps his area all the time...
at one point he moved so much sand all my live rock shifted.. it kinda scared me I didnt want my live rock to fall and crush the fish. so I had to redo all the aquascaping in his area. thank god he stays with his anemone buddy, all the moved sand is in that area. IMO there is nothing that can be dione about it... I guess it is just the personality of the fish... little house keepers... I guess they are like a mini martha stuart. lol

This is totally normal behavior. Relates to mating, even if a single specimen.

Just let him do his thing. Hopefully you placed your LR directly on the glass bottom while assembling your tank, this will help prevent any LR from shifting if there's rock near his sand reorganization
My False Perc does it in the corner too. His first two nights in the tank, he really couldn't find anywhere to "sleep" and just swam in the current from the powerheads. However, the 3rd night he began carving himself a little home in the back right corner. Now he sleeps there and gets to rest his body and fins. Kinda cute. |

My tomato clown does that all the time. I just leave it there. It actually looks cool. Like a sand drift

Nesting behavior. The clown will beat you in a sand moving contest.
