where to find squirters/syringes for food and refractometer?

I lost the little squirter that comes with the refractometer... where can i buy a replacement?

I'd also like to buy a larger plastic syringe for food delivery.

thanks.

If you have someone that works in a hospital or doctors office they should have those syringes. I got 50 for free and they are lab-grade too

You can also ask your vet. I've gotten some things like this from them plenty of times.

I also got most of my syringes from our vet.

Here are a few links for feeding syringes and pipettes:

There is a neat long handled squirt that I bought here:

You can get an eye dropper at any pharmacy or pharm. dept. of Walmart, that will work for the refractometer

I've seen pipettes at a few hobby stores. For food delivery what I use is a 10cc syringe that I bought at a drug store... I think it was for oral medicine delivery. Anyways I took a piece of rigid airline and attached it to the end. Works perfect. Nice and precise on how much you squirt or suck up at a time. I used to use a turkey baster but found some foods like brine would float out of the tip without me even squirting it.

Go by West Marine or other large marine boating store and look around their fiberglassing/epoxy displays for medium and large-tipped syringes. As far as droppers for the refractometer, I usually retrieve them from test kits.

How about a good glass thermometer? What kind of store would I find those in? Preferably something 8-10" long, not the kind for measuring body temp.

I'm tired of digitals and the liquid thermom.s made for the hobby generally have tiny scales, and are slow to react due to the metal balls in the bottom.
