Skimmer Effeciency

Will my skimmer work more effeciently if I clean the collection cup everyday or if it is left alone for a few days?

IMO, it really depends on the type of skimmer. Most down draft and Becketts work better with a dirty neck as opposed to most NW work optimally with a clean neck. My skimmer works best 1 or 2 days after cleaning.

My skimmer only seems to work at max efficiency if i clean the "Collection" cup daily
And i run a terminator II skimmer so it may be different then others?

I clean the tube leading up to the collection cup once a week. If I skip a week I notice the amount of skimmate is really decreased.
