Is my sump big enough?

I am looking to upgrade from my 40 gallon to a 75 gallon.

The sump I am using is a Precision Marine. I checked the measurements on it, they come out to 12 (H) x 24 (w) x 12 (L). Which is 15 gallons according to the calculator provided by reef central.

Will this be big enough for the 75 gallon with one overflow?

Thanks in advance again.

any sump is better than no sump at all, obviously bigger is better, however yours will will be fine, you can add the heater, reactor and skimmer to it and top up with it etc etc, its fine dont worry, but bigger is better

Thanks,

Just want to make sure that if I'd have a power outage, I'm not going to end up with a flood.

Is it safe to assume that this will be able to handle it? I will actually not have my skimmer in the sump as all I have at the moment is the Deltec MCE600.

that will depend on the height of the overflow box in the main tank, if its too low in the water on a power cut the sump could overflow if it is set right it wont, you need to work that out and mark the sump as the max water line, so if there is a powercut the sump wont overflow, as for closed loop if you have one the you will need to do things differently
