Help?

I have these encrusted spirals that look kind of like worms that are attached to my live rock. They put out gunk that is like a spiderweb and it puts it all over my tank. I need to know what these are and if they are bad. I hope this description is good enough becasue i cant get my camera to work. Thanks

They are fine. I have a bunch of them and they have caused me no problems.

Vermetid snails. They are generally harmless but, their mucus web can irritate corals.
