Anyone running a Tunze DOC skimmer? Quick ?
does it need to be in exactly the right depth as the water mark on front indicates?
there's a hole on the backside of the body. does this need to be submerged or above water? Thanks.

Re: Anyone running a Tunze DOC skimmer? Quick ?
I use the 9010. The water line is the maximum height the water should be. the skimmer will operate fine in variable water levels up to the line. My sump level goes down due to evaporation and the skimmer continues to run fine three to four inches below the water line.
The hole on the back is around the water level mark and on mine is usually above the water, unless I happen to overfill. My 90g is good ole fashion manual top off. Quote:

I appreciate the help. I got it used and without instructions. The pdf on the Tunze sight is funny because it's directly translated from German to English and it is a little less than a smooth read.
I figured it would be just easier to ask someone with one. Skimmer is crankin out the foam. Thanks again! Cully
