Coral Banded Shrimp

thinking of possibly getting one, but just curious, some sites say they will attack other shrimp that are smaller, and a few say that they will attack hermits and other small inverts.

Is that true? i was planning on adding a pom pom crab someday, and some more hermits, so if these will kill them, i wont get a CBS.

Also, what is the success rate of a cleaner shrimp with a CBS?

ive seen these mostly attack each other but thats only beacause there were two in a small tank.if they were in a 90g or bigger they probably wouldnt mess with each other.

I had one years ago that would chase and attack my cleaner (this was in my 100gal). I banished him to my refugy where he is still there today.

I have one with no problem, but I know that every one of them is different.
They are cool and worth the risk, in my opinion.

I have one with a cleaner and its fine.

"one more thing only keep 1 cbs or they will fight"
I think to keep more than one you need to have a pair or a big enough tank to where they don't bother each other.

Mine went a few months with no problems then my peps were living behind the overflow, a few months after that they were gone, then my hermits began disappearing and now my snails. I'm setting up a 75 and he wont make the trip, so if your ever in Ohio I have one waiting for ya.

ya, i think i decided to skip the CBS for now, too much worrying about if they will or wont attack the tank mates. Just going to get a pair of cleaners someday instead

As always, thanks for the help!
