Increased mg to kill bryopsis

Hi everyone, so I upped my mg from 1380 to 1750 within 5 days. Do I wait now or should I increase it to 1900? How long b4 I see the bryopsis die off? Thanks.

fwiw i struggled with bryopsis for a while tried the mag thing and quick fixes. what finally got rid of it for me was getting a phosban reactor, adding a fuge, and a foxface rabbitfish. pulled out the bryopsis and the foxface would eat what was left after that. It was gone in about a week havent seen any since.

Thanks tybox. Is the foxface reef safe? I heard they eat zoos that's why I haven't tried it. How is yours doing, model citizen? I do have a fuge (40 gal) with chaeto, thinking about adding a phosban reactor.

If you want to do the Mg method slowly continue to increase. I saw die off after a few days at 2000 or so mg. It will look like it is melting.

foxface has never bothered any corals, I have sps,lps and softies(zoo's), he is constantly picking rocks for algae even picks at and above water line. I highly recommend one for anyone having algae problems.

Whitening is the first thing that happens. It took about a week for me at 1650. Also, I used Kent Tech-M. If you didn't, it may or may not work. People are having mixed results with other supplements.

I also used Tech M with success and it started going away within a week or two.
