heater and acrylic
hi would my 200W jager heater melt my 1/4 acrylic sump if it was placed up against the wall?
if so, how can i avoid this? thanks |

it shouldn't melt the acrylic but it definitely won't do anything good. your heater should come with some holders (suction cups)

i have a 2 heaters in my sump yeah the y supposed to be on clips but frankly they were just to long....not had any problems

I have two of my 250W jager on the bottom of my acrylic sump for over a year now with no problems. Should I be worried in the near future? Maybe I'll get it off of the bottom.

as long as the sump has water in it i would think it would be ok.- if it is drained and the heater is still on, you may very well melt a hole right through it.
