PoweBrite LED light ?s
Has anyone ever used these?
http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/238842/product.web I was just wondering cause they look like they would work but I dont know thats why I am asking. Does anyone have any feed back on them or am I just looking as a sham? Any inof would be great. Thank you in advance.

not familliar with them, however in the uk LED s are taking off now big time, most small nano style or cube tanks are fitted with them, i see them a lot when im in the lfs, however they are not quite there yet with larger systems, however ive been informed that Jewel, which is german company are develping LED s for all aquaria at present so they may be nearer to being right for corals in larger aquaria very soon, so ive been told to watch out for them they are close to being available

As far as the powerbrite led lights, I have one unit with all blue led's. I only use mine as a moon light. Not sure if you could use them as growout lights for coral.

I have two blue and one with white. I also run metal halide so I do not know if you can use them by there self. They do have good visual effects they make my zoos pop. Very happy with the way they make things look, Hope that helps.

I have a couple of blue ones I use for moonlights, and I love them for that. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't support corals, unless it was a pico tank.
