Quieting a noisy overflow

We just brought our new sump/refugium online. There were some harrowing moments and 4 letter aria's but all in working fine

Our overflow box (an Eshopps 300) is really fricking loud

Any suggestions for quieting it down?

There are methods where people build little pvc silencers. They are called durso. I have one called a gurgle buster, or something like that. Worked wonders. The search function doesnt ever work so you may need to google it.
