Question Quieting a noisy overflow

We just brought our new sump/refugium online. There were some harrowing moments and 4 letter aria's but all in working fine .
Our overflow box (an Eshopps 300) is really fricking loud .
Any suggestions for quieting it down?
Thanks
ED

There are methods where people build little pvc silencers. They are called durso. I have one called a gurgle buster, or something like that. Worked wonders. The search function doesnt ever work so you may need to google it.
